Promoting With Sport Romford
As much as we want to get as much promoting of physical activities as possible, there are some restrictions we have to abide by.
Sport Romford does not currently have any permission to take any money directly, which may sound unusual but it is also not a charity. It is there to pool the resources of each group into promoting them all under one banner throughout the year. This can be done by running fundraising events, the promotions currently being done by Romford Raiders IHC in shopping centres, shops and schools.

Overall Promoting
The main part of this group is to be seen. The town's colours are liberty blue and old gold. Seeing those colours together is virtually impossible. Simply getting people to display them together can gain interest. Events in places such as The Brewery centre where people can talk to others involved in the groups doing the promoting and find out more information. However, the group getting the permission to run events such as this may have restrictions on how many other groups they can invite, for whatever reason.

Leaflets
Leaflets will be a big part of Sport Romford, particularly as a form to show match fixtures. The main condition is that all of those will also need to advertise Sport Romford on the reverse side.
There are no plans to do leaflet drops, mainly due to not getting enough people to do it but also because the sports clubs would be able to this without us.
Please contact us through Sport Romford on Facebook if you want to drop off leaflets with us. Romford Raiders are not obliged to take any from you and we are relying on their invitation to be at their promotions.

Advertising Events
With a combination of different groups being connected through Sport Romford, there is a very good opportunity to get them all to your events, particularly for things such as quiz nights. Sport Romford itself has equipment to run things such as bingo nights, fun casinos, karaoke, challenge nights, games nights etc. that do not charge for their services (in exchange for promoting other clubs, but not rival clubs, of course).

Sponsorship On Leaflets & Banners etc.
There are some restrictions to advertising that need to be clarified.
Because we want all groups involved with Sport Romford to be treated fairly and sponsors not getting free advertising, we will provide contact details but not full web addresses on anything online. Should any
Havering, Barking & Dagenham and Redbridge councils are all involved as parts of Romford and peripheries of Romford with rules about advertising in public areas. Even names of businesses are not permitted without permissions. Please ask for more details.
